Learn to Cook at Bluebells Café

By our guest blogger, the singer Sinead Laws

Earlier this month, I attended a cookery class at Bluebells given by their very own Peter, an award-winning pastry chef who has been in the industry for 40 years!

During the 2 hour event, Peter showed us how to make 3 dishes:
  • Yorkshire Puddings
  • Scones
  • Sticky Toffee Pudding
I had never made Yorkshires or Sticky Toffee Pudding before and I always thought it would be difficult. However, Peter showed us that it isn't hard - it's just a question of knowing how to do it. Those dishes are actually very simple!

Peter also showed us a couple of clever tricks and tips with each recipe which you can't learn from a cook book. We got to take home what we made and the end result was delicious! It was great fun and I was really glad I went!

I see from Bluebells' News/Events Calendar that the next cookery class is on Monday 5th March at 7.30pm. If you have any interest in cooking and want to learn a thing or two, I'd thoroughly recommend you come along.

Thank you for that Sinead!

Talking of firsts, we have another first at the end of the month. Hosted by WorldWidePR, East Grinstead's first ever Tweetup is being held at Bluebells on Wednesday 29th Feb from 6pm to 9pm. See you there!
